In the second match of the T20I tri-series in Sharjah, Pakistan took on the United Arab Emirates and dominated with powerful batting and bowling. A Pakistani batsman is shown above unleashing a big shot – reflecting Pakistan’s aggressive innings. Opener Saim Ayub (38 balls, 69 runs) and youngster Hasan Nawaz (26 balls, 56 runs) smashed a total of 10 sixes between them to propel Pakistan to 207/7 in 20 overs. Their explosive partnership rescued Pakistan from an early wobble (74/3) and gave the innings momentum. In total, Pakistan’s power‑hitting – including seven fours and four sixes for Ayub, and six sixes for Nawaz – set a challenging target. Left-arm spinner Hasan Ali then made key breakthroughs, ending with figures of 3/47. Pakistan finished strongly, plundering 64 runs in the last five overs to reach 207.
UAE’s chase began well, but early wickets swung the game back to Pakistan. Opener Muhammad Waseem started at nearly a run-a-ball, but left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz removed Muhammad Zohaib in the PowerPlay. Waseem was then run out for 33 in a mix-up. UAE slid from 54/3 to 76/5 in the middle overs. Asif Khan stood out with a rapid 77 off 35 balls (including six sixes and six fours), briefly reviving the chase and reducing the equation to 37 runs needed off 6 balls. However, Hasan Ali dismissed Asif in the penultimate over, and UAE could only reach 176/8 by the end of 20 overs. Pakistan’s bowlers – led by Hasan Ali’s 3/47 – held firm to secure a 31-run victory.
